When the noblewoman prays in the temple of Baal,
She shall set fine flour kneaded with oil and honey upon the altar;
She shall lift up her eyes, and weeping, cry aloud:
"O Baal, Creator of Heaven and Earth!
Behold your maidservant: she has no son (in bn lh), and she has no child!
Open the womb, and grant human seed!
An unblemished she-goat (ʿz tmt), O Baal, we shall consecrate (nšqdš);
And our vow (mdr) we shall fulfill in your temple!
When a living son is born to your maidservant,
Silver and gold unto your altar we shall bring!"
